Rumors has started that some people in UMNO wants Pak Lah to resign. How far is it true that Umno Batu had sent a letter to PM asking him to relinquish his positions?

Tun Mahathir said that Pak Lah has destroyed Umno, destroyed the BN and he has been responsible for that.

In some areas, UMNO boycotted BN candidates, to reduce BN?s 2/3 majority.
Immediately after election results, on Sunday, mar 9, TDM called a press conference to call for UMNO President to step down. Now, Mukhriz wrote the letter to PM asking UMNO President o step down??.. they?re all striking while the iron is hot. It is a closely engineered propaganda. Last night u see big huge posters in KL asking Umno Presiden to step down. Clearly, there is a concerted effort to bring UMNO President down.
But is that what the Malays want? If Najib takes over, how sure are we that he will be accepted by the Malays, esp with the Altantuya?s case still in court. Listen to criticisms on the ground ? Najib is not popular either.
Malays want a clean, corruption-free UMNO. Who in UMNO can deliver this? Probably none???..yet. So, Pak Lah is not the problem???. UMNO leaders themselves, all the UMNO ministers, ketua bahagian, etc are perceived as corrupt, and helping their cronies.
At this critical juncture UMNO should unite, and show solidarity, behind the current UMNO Presiden, to muhasabah diri, and take corrective action ? not splitting the party further like they?re doing now. Najib is also perceived as corrupt ?
The Rakyat is smart now, they know, UMNO is acting out what TDM and his men have been planning – this calling for UMNO Presiden to step down, is purely a power struggle within UMNO, not a sincere attempt to clean the party of corruption.
Malay bloggers should call for solidarity, unity, not encourage this splitting within UMNO. Yang rugi Melayu juga. Tengoklah nanti.
Why can’t they wait for Majlis Tertinggi UMNO? Or maybe they can call for an emergency meeting or something like that. Having all the parties bickering, arguing, sabotaging is enough to give the people reason to be restless and scared. Seems like everyone has issues with everyone!
On the other hand, I suppose these things have to happen before the politicians can take a look at our plight. I am just amused to see how grown men can be so emotional and vindictive when they don’t get what they want.
So, I guess, you guys just thrash things out, quarrel if you have to, but please, please don’t put the people’s well being in jeapordy. We are the ones who have to go to work everyday, earn our pay, take care of our family and maybe once in a while, go for a holiday in a peaceful country. You guys fighting with each other isn’t doing anyone any good. But maybe that’s human nature, eh?
After all, I agree with the PAK LAH UNDUR….for the sake of UMNO, Malay and the country.
There are so many potential and capable Malay leaders in Malaysia either in politics or as commoners but the current UMNO system just narrowed down for this for self benefit….especially to incapable, less intelligent/strategic and indecisive Pak Lah and wrongly smart and corrupted KJ in ruling this country….

Keep Pah Lah as PM and BN will self destruct soon. Then UMNO can be reformed, starting from a clean slate.

One of the solutions for UMNO to ponder and strategize:
Kembalikan suara ahli akar Umno. Untuk itu, langkah pertama yang mesti dilakukan antaranya menghapuskan sistem kuota pencalonan untuk jawatan tinggi dalam Umno.
Mengikut sistem kuota pencalonan yang ditetapkan, calon presiden perlu mendapat 30 peratus pencalonan, timbalan 20 peratus, naib presiden 10 manakala ahli majlis tertinggi 5 peratus.
Selain itu, sistem kuota ini terus-menerus menjadi polemik kerana ia dikaitkan dengan demokrasi dalam Umno dan menjadi salah satu punca berlakunya politik wang dalam parti tersebut.
Di samping itu, amalan MT Umno membuat keputusan supaya jawatan presiden dan timbalan presiden tidak dipertandingkan, juga mesti dihentikan.
?Lagi pun, tanpa kuota tersebut pun, bukan ada yang berminat untuk bertanding jawatan presiden dan timbalan presiden.

PROFESSIONAL MALAY, nak ke pimpinan tertinggi UMNO mendengar suara kecik ahli-ahlinya?
If the UMNO MT is just yes-man and Pak Turut (because of some unexplainable reasons)…..then the Tun Mahathir’s book “MALAY DILEMMA” is still relevant for them to read, comprehend, and bermuhasabah diri…..
Otherwise the disgruntled team members will break up UMNO worst than S46 era and some might join PKR and DSAI….I believe this is going to be a reality soon……insyaallah….for the sake of Malay and Malaysia.

I think Malay UMNO must be REengineered. Tun Dr. Mahathir pernah mengakui beliau gagal merubah pemikiran Melayu.
Make 12th general election a process to rejuvenate, reengineer and restructure Malaysia?s political sytem, since all are fighting for the betterment of our beloved country.
Everybody know that UMNO now has 2 teams, pro Najib (Tun M) and Pro Pak Lah, will they split again like what happened in 1989? S46?
Bagus jugak kalau Pak Lah undur tetapi Tun Mahathir gak yang suka sangat hari tu ni. Kalau Umno jatuh pun bukan pasal pak Lah seorang aje , kalau lepas ni Umno naik balik pun bukan pasal Pak Lah turun. Ikut suka orang lah nak pangkah Pas ke, Umno ke . Nik Aziz ngan Lim Kit siang jangan dok perasan laaaa. Aku laa ni dok pikir nak ajak Lim kit siang masuk Islam pun tak dak hati dah haih.
