11

This is about Sufiah Yusof, the youngest person who gained entry into Oxford University at the age of 13. She had once shocked the world, but sadly today she is a prostitute in Manchester. I feel sorry for her because she has done this to herself and also because it has become so public. It’s terrible to see any woman doing this. I believe she has genuinely suffered so many things in her life. Probably about her father, about the marriage, about all.

Malaysian government said they would help the genius girl to return to the right path through the “Save Sufiah Programme“.

The “Save Sufiah Programme” is headed by Deputy Minister in the PM’s Department Mashitah Ibrahim who will come up with strategies to assist Sufiah as soon as possible. – source

It’s good that Malaysian government wants to help her out, but why Sufiah? Why are the government is trying to help her when in Malaysia there is so many poorer Malaysian need help? If the government is so concern of Malay Muslim hookers, why not go and help those at Lorong Hj Taib and many other places in Kuala Lumpur? or they won’t get help just because they are not genius in math?

Then how is she different from the other women in Malaysia? Because she got a higher IQ? What will 28 million Malaysian say if the government help a non citizen while in our own country there are lots more people who deserve help? Government should realised that Sufiah is a British! She?s not a Malaysian.

Sufiah may choose to refuse their help. She is over 21, she is an adult and she made her own choice. The British government has public services that will help her out of that life if she chooses to get out. In addition, prostitution is a legal profession in Britain. Just go to Soho in London City, there are lot of hookers. I have been there in 1997 and visited the red light area. They are professionals who pay their taxes and issue receipts for services rendered.

Some say that they are many more Malaysian prostitutes in UK now. I do hope Malaysian government will help them too, regardless of their mathematics score.

I am not saying that I disagree with Malaysian government intention but the way they think.

I think the less publicity given to this issue, the better. I pray that Allah will guide Sufiah Yusof to the right path.

I dont agree with this program too. Why help her when there are many more genuine cases that need help. For Sufiah it is her very own choice, not because of circumstances that she is in this shit. Blessed with good brain and good looks she can easily earn good income giving tuitions or provide academic support but she chose to take the easy way out. A prayer for her to go back to the right path is more than enough.

Yea I agree that Malaysia is poking her nose at the wrong end. As if sponsoring her tuition fees at Oxford using taxpayers’ money wasn’t good enough, the government has now decided to take it into their hands to try and guide a non-citizen (i am inclined to use the word traitor, since she turned her back on the country which has given her so much and relinquished her Malaysian citizenship but have decided otherwise) back onto the right track. This is utter nonsense.

In my humble opinion, we do not have the responsibility nor the moral obligation, not in the slightest bit to help her. If she was a refugee or a stateless asylum seeker then probably on a humanitarian standpoint I believe we should do so, of which clearly she is in neither situation in this case. She is an adult and quoting her ex-husband words, there will come a time where one has to take responsibilities for her own actions. She had chosen this path out of her own free will, and there ain’t much we can do anyway. Furthermore if she really does require help, I’m pretty sure the UK government will be able to offer her decent help comparable to the ones offered by Malaysia since the social welfare schemes in the UK are in no way inferior to Malaysia.

By the way I’d like to point out that although prostitution is not formally illegal, unlike countries like the Netherlands where it has been legalised, activities such as open-solicitation, running brothels, pimping are all illegal in the UK. So to say prostitution is legal in the UK is not entirely correct.

ya… usaha dr mashitah tu mmg laa betul sbg islam menolong islam. tapi jgn tolong seseorg tuu kerana populariti nye shj. adalah lebih berkat skiranya kita menolong org yg susah dan takde publisiti dari perkara tu.

cam eddyra tulih tuu betul. tolong org di tempat kita dulu baru laa pjgkan langkah utk mnolong org lain.
“anak kera di hutan disusukan, anak sendri dibiar kebuluran”

kalau dah tolong seseorg, tolonglah semua org. timbang2 kan priority nak tolong tuu betul2. jgn pasal ramai kenal mangsa (popular), dan dan nak tolong org itu. siap susun strategi cam nak tangkap penjenayah.

teringat dulu ada berita bapa dan 3 anak yg merempat dok dlm rumah kotak jer. sblm tuu takde sapa pun nak tolong dia. bila rumah kotaknya terbakar, anak mati, masuk surat kabor, baru laa nak hulur bantuan. skali lagi cth tolong org yg dah popular.

tapi kan kita nii tau ker mereka ni tak tolong org susah yg tak popular?? hmm takkan mereka tolong org susah yg tak popular, phtu nak kene umumkan 1 msia.
    hmmm kene pikir balik ni….

Agree that M’sian gov is poking her nose in British affairs. Sufiah did not relinquish her m’sian citizenhip cos she wasn’t one in the first place. M’ian women in UK are not able to register their children as M’sians if the father is not malaysian. The only way is if the Sufiah was born in M’sia. Plus if M’sian, the uk immigration would have hunted her down and deported her to M’sia. If people saw her video, it is best to leave her alone or she will tell m’sian authorities to f*** off. M’sian gov cannot do anything or she will complain to British authorities who won’t take kindly to outside interference of their nationals.

Just google Sufiah’s confession. She is enjoying her life as an escort. Basically what she is trying to tell the nosey parkers (Malaysian authorities, religios bodies etc) is to mind their own business becos those that sympathise with her family can’t read btw the lines ie that she was probably sexually abused by her perverted father and that sicko mother of hers covered it up. That’s why she is upset with both parents.
